Welcome to the Bradan Players website

Bradan Players are a Drama group based in Leixlip, Co. Kildare Ireland. The group's name is derived from the Irish name for Leixlip - "Leim an Bradan" which translates as "Salmon Leap". Although the group is new, the members certainly need no introduction and are drawn from the rich source of talent present in Leixlip. Within months of forming, the group succeeded in getting two plays into the 2005 All-Ireland one act final; winning outright with "Small Box Psychosis" with Colin Walsh winning the Harlequin award for best overall performance and coming third with "Babels in Arms".

We came second at the 2006 all Ireland one-act festivals with our production of "Geography of a Horse Dreamer" by Sam Shepard.

We came second again in the 2007 All-Ireland one Act fesival in Rossmore with "A Bench at the Edge" and George Hogan received the covetted Harlequin.

We came third in the 2008 All-Ireland drama festival in Atlone with "Extremities".  We also qualified for Athlone in 2009 (Faith Healer)  and in 2010 ( Mauritius)

Also in 2009, we re-claimed the All Ireland one act champion title with "The Quality of Boiled Water"

In 2010, we secured two in a row retaining the one-act all ireland title with Caryl Churchill's challenging play "A Number".

2014 - Second in Athlone All Ireland with "Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf" with Best Actress and supporting Actress
